Rare! this crazy cool two piece turquoise set from the 80s or early 90s is in amazing vintage condition. the collared shirt features long sleeves, a seven front button closure, two buttons on each sleeve, and a rounded bottom hemline at the back. amazing rainbow embellishments and embroideries bedazzle the front and the back of the shirt, and the jeweling is all hand done and it is attached to the shirt by prongs, not by glue.
the matching above-knee mini shorts are ultra high waisted (25” waistband) and fasten at the front with three buttons and a zipper closure. they feature a slightly puffed fit at the hips, two front pockets and they are pleated at the bottom hemline.
fabric: 100% cotton size: shirt is labelled as size small and shorts are labelled as size large, however this doesn’t fit true to modern size. I would say the set best fits womens size extra small or small (25” waistband) colour: turquoise blue
measurements (lying flat): shirt~ shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18" bust (pit to pit): 19.5" sleeve length: 20” centre back length (without collar): 26”
shorts~ waistband: 12.5” – note: model usually wears size 26” however the shorts just fit, likely because they are ultra high waisted. short flare/bottom opening: 13” hips: 20” across centre back length: 20”
